Q Gallery, Baku, recently presented Earth, Wind and Flame, a solo exhibition dedicated to the artistic practice of Professor Tahir Mammadov. Rooted in an exploration of elemental forces, the exhibition examined earth, wind, and flame as both material presences and symbolic languages shaping artistic expression, memory, and identity.

The exhibition opened on February 4 and remains on view through February 7, 2026, positioning itself as a focused yet conceptually rich presentation within Baku’s contemporary cultural landscape. Through a refined selection of works, Professor Mammadov’s practice unfolds as a dialogue between nature and philosophy, where elemental forms become carriers of cultural continuity and creative resistance.

Earth emerges as a grounding force—suggesting origin, permanence, and inherited memory. Wind introduces movement and transition, representing unseen energies that influence transformation. Flame, both destructive and regenerative, operates as a metaphor for intensity, renewal, and the enduring power of artistic vision.

Installed within Q Gallery’s exhibition space, the works invite close observation rather than spectacle. Material textures, compositional restraint, and spatial rhythm guide the viewer through a contemplative experience, allowing the elemental themes to resonate through subtle formal relationships.

Earth, Wind and Flame reflects Professor Tahir Mammadov’s sustained engagement with the philosophical dimensions of art, situating his practice within broader conversations on nature, culture, and creative responsibility.
