KYON ARTIST
Born in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Kyon began her artistic journey in 2022 after a brief introduction to airbrush art. What started as a half day session quickly evolved into a self taught practice that sparked a full-time career. By September 2023, she officially began working as an airbrush artist, and by the fall of 2024, her practice expanded internationally—primarily creating digital artworks using Procreate on iPad.
Key Milestones: September 2024 – Selected for the New York Art Incubation Art Exhibition 2024 – Featured among the “100 Most Notable Artists in the World” January 2025 – Exhibited at Van der Plas Gallery, New York April 3–6, 2025 – Participated in Art Expo New York (AGI Fine Art)
Artist Statement: "Since childhood, I have loved drawing, looking at pictures, and exploring pop colors. In high school, I drew my teacher’s face as a character on vegetables and fruits, and everyone smiled. That simple joy inspired my dream: to become an artist who shares creativity worldwide and gives people energy through my work."

ARTIST INTERVIEW
INDACY: • Your journey as an artist began quite unconventionally — studying airbrush for just half a day before diving into your own style. How did this self-taught path shape your artistic identity and confidence?
Kyon: I have always had the policy of trying anything I want to do, and I am confident that I am more proactive than anyone else. At the same time, I was often praised for my colors by those around me, and I love playing with colors and enjoying drawing. This has led to my current situation where I want my work to be seen by many people around the world.
INDACY: • Your works are rooted in vibrant pop colors and playful imagination, even transforming everyday objects like fruits and vegetables into characters. How do you see humor and positivity influencing your art and its impact on viewers?
Kyon: My theme is happy art that makes people smile. I want my paintings to cheer people up and make them feel like children.
INDACY: • In less than three years, you’ve showcased globally — from New York to Hong Kong, Monaco, Barcelona, and Innsbruck. Which exhibition has had the most profound impact on you so far, and why?
Kyon: When I was using an airbrush, I only created custom portraits. I only started painting my own pictures last September, so I haven't had many exhibitions yet, but I entered my first contest in New York last year and was selected. Being able to talk to actual customers at the gallery where I exhibited for the first time was a great inspiration for me.
INDACY: • Being named one of the “100 Most Notable Artists in the World” in 2024 is a huge recognition. How has this milestone influenced your goals and future direction as an artist?
Kyon: I was honored to be selected in a year when I had only just begun to paint my own pictures seriously. This experience has boosted my confidence and strengthened my desire to take further steps and share my art with as many people as possible.
INDACY: • You’ve already worked across both digital (Procreate) and traditional airbrush mediums. How do you balance technology and tradition in your practice, and where do you see your art evolving next?
Kyon: At the moment I haven't combined digital and airbrush techniques yet, but in the future I would like to try painting on canvas with paint, and at that time I would like to create art that combines the gradations that are unique to airbrushing.
INDACY: • You recently collaborated with First Wish Art Gallery. Could you share your experience working with the gallery and how it has contributed to your artistic journey?
Kyon: I have been involved with several galleries up until now, including a collaboration with First Wish Art Gallery, but these were all new experiences for me. I received a lot of support and was able to learn about the creative process. It was a valuable experience as I continue to paint. Although it will be difficult to visit galleries this year, I hope to deepen my connections with galleries next year and beyond.
